Counselor Attire

Counselors in attire deemed inappropriate by a staff member will be required to change.  If they do not oblige they will be sent home.

Church Attire – Modest and Appropriate

Male Counselor

  • Khaki pants or dress slacks
  • Collared dress shirt or polo
  • Dress shoes or loafers
  • NO t-shirts, jeans or gym shoes

Female Counselor

  • Dresses or skirts at the knee or longer
  • Sweater to cover shoulders (no bare shoulders)
  • Sensible shoes; no gym shoes
  • NO pants or shorts
  • NO spaghetti straps, tops that reveal navel/midriff area


Daily Clothing

  • T-shirts
    • No halter tops
    • No tops that reveal navel/midriff area
  • Shorts (appropriate length)
    • No shorts above mid-thigh
    • No short shorts or daisy dukes, etc.
    • No writing on the backside of shorts or pants
    • No vulgarity or profanity on any article of clothing
  • Jeans or sweatpants
  • Sweatshirt or light jacket
  • Undergarments
  • Pajamas and bathrobe
  • Socks
  • Gym shoes / running shoes
  • Sandals, slippers or flip-flops
  • Church shoes
  • Rain jacket or poncho
  • Swim apparel (modest one piece swimsuit for female counselors;  appropriate swim trunks for male counselors)

Bed & Bath

  • Sheets: fitted and flat (twin size)
  • Pillow and pillow case
  • Blanket
  • Towels: bath, hand, washcloth, beach towel


  • Brush & comb
  • Shampoo / conditioner
  • Soap / bodywash
  • Toothbrush / toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Razor / shaving gear (if shaving)
  • Kleenex


  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Flashlight
